Komos
The name of the Komos collection of tables, consoles and coffee tables recalls a ritual procession that was part of the Dionysian festivals, during which the participants, dancing, singing and drinking, indulged in an atmosphere of alcoholic revelry.
The shape, as well as the material, if arranged with proportionality and order make an object immortal and so the superimposition of several ceramic elements transforms the complements of the series into statuesque elements, making them eternal and not declined according to the trend of the moment. The products of the Komos series are therefore a reference to the past with an eye to contemporary forms.
The round table of the Komos collection combines the importance of the choice of material and the study of proportions, alternating the main elements and giving the object a sense of monumentality and elegance.
The circular base gradually tapers up to the attachment of the vertical upright, inserted as if it were the continuation of the ceramic itself.
The circular top interrupts this upward momentum and defines its total dimension. The design choice behind the Komos collection is to create pure and decisive, monumental and clean objects that can coexist with any type of furniture, be it classic, modern or contemporary, minimalist or eccentric, within the environment in which they are positioned.
